Finally, a great excuse to get out of the city! Camp among the Redwoods and then go caving in the largest cave system in Northern California, the Moaning Caverns!

Come up to Calaveras Big Trees State Park on Saturday June 12th (three hours east of San Francisco) where you will find some gorgeous hiking among the giant Redwoods, the largest being Louis Agassiz which is 250 feet tall! Or instead of hiking you can hang out at camp and just relax.

We will barbecue up some burgers for dinner (alternate menus are available) and then gather round the fire for some s'mores, stories and good ole campfire songs.

We will cook you a hearty breakfast on Sunday morning before we head to the Moaning Caverns. This is the largest cave system in Northern California and you would never know it from the humble entrance. There we will rappel 165' in to the cave. Yes! We said rappel one-hundred-and-sixty-five feet! That is bigger than the Statue of Liberty! You don't need any experience to do this. We provide all the gear and you will be under the supervision of trained professionals. Descending in to the cave is a one of a kind experience. The massive formations are illuminated around you as you slowly lower yourself.

After everyone reaches the ground level of the cave we will then spend the next couple hours exploring the vast cave system. We will be getting dirty, learning about the fascinating cave environment and crawling through some small spaces like Upper Mudflat, Joe Adventure, Meat Grinder and Godzilla's Nostril!

No experience is necessary for this adventure! We will teach you how to rappel and spelunk! Just make sure you bring your sense of adventure and some clothes you can get dirty!

1. We will arrive at camp around 1 pm on Saturday, so you can meet us there any time after that.

2. Tent rental is available for those that need one.
